Ewan graduated in maths at the University of Southampton. He later qualified as an accountant, holding positions in businesses with turnovers ranging from tens of billions of pounds down to tens of millions in the software, oil, retail and electronics industries, some as Finance Director. His most recent position in industry was Managing Director of Impact the UK's leading business-to-business audio visual systems integrator. He was appointed Managing Director of the 150 staff operation in 2004 and led it back to profitability in 2005 after 4 years of substantial losses. Ewan left it in 2007, the most profitable year in its 33 year history, to establish AdJuice.
